San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park
Get up close and personal by taking a Safari Tour. Enter the
caravan, camera ready, and experience animals from Africa
and Asia close up. Feed Rhinos and Giraffes as you wind through
this amazing safari. 1 and 3/4 to 4 and 1/4 hour tours are
available. If the Safari tour is a bit much, try the Journey
into Africa tour. Tram vehicles take you safely into rolling
hills for a ride you'll never forget. Other activities at
the park include the Hidden Jungle, Elephant overlook and
the Kilimanjaro Safari Walk. There are several dining facilities
located throughout the park as well as many places to shop
for varieties of Wild Animal Park collectables. There are
several choices for accommodations in the area. The park
is located 35 minutes north of San Diego. Hotels in San Diego
give you the opportunity to be close to the San Diego Zoo
and other Southern California theme parks. Need hotel reservations
in other cities close to The Wild Animal Park, try Escondido,
Oceanside or San Clemente. Park hours vary during the season
